I didn't look closely enough at the packaging in the picture so the necklace was not exactly what I expected, BUT it is gorgeous for a kid's necklace. It is plastic, but very pretty, nice plastic. My four year old loves it. It doesn't light up for too long, but that doesn't bother her. She just presses the button again! It's also very easy to clasp on and take off and the chain isn't too short. I think lots of kids will like it!

Out of all the gifts our daughter received for her birthday, this was her favorite! I was worried with the reviews that it was going to be "eh" but she hasn't taken it off since! Lights up very bright. I think it is very cute. The actual 'amulet' is thicker than I'd imagine but it doesn't bother our 4 year old.

My daughter loves her amulet. It's often fought over when she has friends over and cousins over to play. It falls apart a lot though. She brings it to me at least once a day for me to fix. It snaps back together so it's not a big deal. A little annoying is all.

I surprised my 3 year old daughter with this amulet while she was watching Sofia one afternoon. At first, she needed help putting it on and taking it off. But, the snap clasp loosened after a few times and she can put it on and remove it herself now. The included batteries have lasted two months so far. The amulet is so sparkly and pretty when it lights it up. I like how the amulet is connected to a sturdy plastic chain instead of elastic. The pearl beads are a nice added touch too. Perfect gift for a Sofia lover!
