Was out on my new sea doo at lake Cumberland. Just got done filling up gas and removed the maintenance cover per instructions to make sure there were no gas fumes in the engine compartment. Stupid panel fell into the water, and I thought, surely it floats. NO! It does not. So I had to jump in and grab that stupid thing. I get of the water and clothes soaking wet and all, and the attendant says, "I hope you didn't have your phone in your pocket." I pulled out my phone, in the Cali case, and I say, "Sire did, but this case makes it waterproof and float." Sure enough my phone was completely dry and protected in the Cali case. The attendant just nodded his head like, "Nice." 5 stars every time. We got 4 of them.

Bought 4 of these. Did a test with a paper insert at a swimming pool, fully submerged all 4 over an hour. Swam down to 7.5 feet 5 times, also pulled them HARD through the water several times - side to side, up and down, and in circles. I really put them to a challenging test. The result was that 1 case out of 4 got one single drop of water inside the case. In my opinion, that was a fantastic result. The perimeter seems to be padded which provides the case with buoyancy and at the same time impact protection. For the iPhone 7 series, the Touch ID does not function through the plastic, but one workaround is to go to: Settings / General / Accessibility / AssistiveTouch. Turn on AssistiveTouch. This places a movable white dot (icon) on the home screen. Then turn on the phone with the right side button, then press the white dot. That brings up the home button window that allows you to enter your passcode. Nice strap and carbariner.

I got to use this case on a 3 day river trip last weekend. It worked great, except for times when the condensation built up inside the case covering the camera. Not a big deal but some pics didn't turn out great. the phone stayed bone dry when the case with the phone was floating in the river, when my boat was stuck on a rock and filled half way on one side.
One of the two clips on the top snapped too... it still seals but not sure how half of it snapped off.

It is waterproof and fits my phone and inexpensive but in less than a year of purchase and only after a few uses (not extreme activities) the clasp detached from the plastic case. It was great while it lasted!
