along with some screwed up engineer at Toshiba that decided tight metal hinges on plastic was a good idea, not quite

After sucking it up and taking my Toshiba Satellite laptop apart to replace the cover and bezel I found that the problem resulted from missing screws, along with some screwed up engineer at Toshiba that decided tight metal hinges on plastic was a good idea, not quite. The selection of screws provided was perfect to take care of the job. Considering I probably saved in the neighborhood of at least $100 to have the computer repaired, $30 for the case/bezel and $10 for the screws was well worth it. Stay away from the Geek squad they couldn't even spare on tiny screw, at least now I know how they really got their name.

This kit has the 3 different screw sizes I needed to fix my Asus s300c. I didn't know the sizes I needed and took a chance that this kit had the sizes I needed. I actually needed 3 different sizes to fix my laptop: 2 for the screen hinge inside the bottom cover, and 2 different size screws for the bottom cover. The bottom cover actually has 3 different size screws...one would think that Asus would standardize these sizes but they had some reason not to. I'm sure someday I'll have a need for other screws in this kit. Thanks

Exactly as advertised.
I purchased this set because I needed one (!) screw - specifically a M.2 3mm screw. The next best option was $5.99 for 24 of that particular item. I said screw it (golf clap) and got this complete set of laptop screws because I figured they might be useful in the future. I build my own computers, so I'm not squeamish about opening up the guys of a laptop. I'll keep these for years and one day in the future they will become useful once more.

Useful assortment of laptop screws

My laptop was literally falling apart, and I realized that I was missing over half the screws from the bottom case. (I've never opened this machine up myself, btw, just the good folks at the Lenovo repair facility... but that's a story for a different review!) I wasn't sure which size screw I would need, so I ordered this set. It was a little overkill in the end (I only needed 5 of the M2 X 6 screws) but I'm glad to have all of them handy. The label on the inside cover of the box tells you which screws are where, which is why I bought this item instead of another similarly priced set. That was very useful.
Had every screw that I needed

My daughter broke one of the keys on her laptop. She took it upon herself to find a replacement keyboard and find out how to do the fix. I did the work for her and found that she lost a couple of the screws out of the bottom of her laptop. There were 2 different types of screws that I needed to find. I picked up these screws and hoped that it would have one of the screws I needed. I was thrilled to find that both types I needed were in this kit. After replacing the screws that she lost, I went through the 3 other laptops in the house and replaced a couple more screws. I stuck the kit in my tool bag for future fixes. I'm sure that more screws will come up missing in the not too distant future.
