The air sealed switch is not very sensitive. I had keep my foot press hard on the pedal then after an hour or so the pedal had leak and stopped working. I end up had to get a replacement.
It should work nicely.

It should work as it was designed. It would not fit in the old motor housing so we added a weather proof junction box on the side of the motor and moved the forward/reverse switch there too. It should work nicely.
