The clock is adorable and it works great too. I think I want another one!

I almost returned this, but then decided to test the clock mechanism. I am a real light sleeper and most battery-operated clock mechanisms are too loud for me to use in my bedroom but this one was absolutely silent. Although, the body of the clock is just cheap cardboard, the manufacturer used a top quality clock mechanism and that made all the difference for me. I have the clock mounted above my bathroom door ~ 7-1/2 ft up. I'm 5'6" and I have to stand right below it to notice the cheap construction. If I back off 3 or 4 feet from the door, it looks fine and from my bed, it's lovely. Be careful handling the clock and don't put it anywhere you expect foot traffic that would bump into it, because it is fragile but it's a relatively low-cost way to get the look of an all-white (or other mono-color) cuckoo clock. There are some more elaborate all one color cuckoo clocks out there ~$150+ but if you don't need or want it to chime the hours, this one will do for about $35, which yes is pricey for an all cardboard clock but beats laying out $150. Yes, I probably could have made one myself for next to nothing but then I'd still have to figure out where to get the high-quality silent clock mechanism. The ones they sell at most DIY craft places are cheap and loud. Did I mention this clock keeps perfect time, something I've never experienced with any other battery-operated clock?

After reading the comments and reviews, this is exactly what I expected. I bought a "used" one from Amazon that was about half the price. I probably would be pretty disappointed in this if it was full price. It is made of foam board and arrived without any damage. It's perfect for our eclectic nursery.

Absolutely love this clock, so well made with the materials used. Very whimsical and charming. The pics online do not do justice to the actual color. Love it! :)
