I am still laughing over this bowl! I guess I just didn't realize how big 30 quarts was. I dehydrate a ton of kale for kale chips and none of my bowls were ever big enough to handle the scope of 5 lbs of greens! WELL when the box was at my door I was like what did I order? (I love Amazon) After I wrestled the box in the door and opened it I immediately snapped a pic to send to my sister we are still laughing. But with all that said BEST BOWL EVER!!! No more mess everything stays in the bowl until I'm ready to start drying. It will be great to have in our RV also I can see a lot of uses for it 😃

This thing is gigantic. You can sit around all day with a tape measure trying to understand how big it is and still you will be amazed when it arrives. It's so big I was embarrassed to show my wife. It's so big I almost sent it back! I am so glad I didn't send it back. I use it to mix my Kimchi. I get it about a gallon with mixed up in the bowl then I put two, 2 quart mason jars in the bowl at the same time and stuff the Kimchi in the jars without getting cabbage all over the kitchen.
The finish is mirror finish,very impressive. It's beautiful. I wont make sauerkraut in it because I wouldn't want to scratch the beautiful finish with the salt pounding process. Once it gets a little messed up I will make sauerkraut in the big monster!

Have to wash this in the laundry room sink and store it above the cabinets due to its size, but this is a great, well made mixing bowl. I got it for brining halved Napa cabbage for kimchi and have no worries about not having enough room for batches of a gallon or more finished kimchi. Should be able comfortably fit up to 6 halves of large Napa in the bowl. I used both my biggest bowls previously and barely fit 4 halves, so I'm excited to be able to now make larger batches. It would probably make a nice serving chiller for iced drinks at a large party too. Picture shows 2 extra large heads of Napa cabbage, measuring 11 pounds.

First let me say this is a stainless steel mixing bowl. (I'll explain how I know below.) And, because it's so large it does come in quite a large box...mostly paper, but still.
Now, let me say I am not ever going to use this the way 99+% of the rest of you will. I am a photographer who has transformed this "bowl" into what's called a "Beauty Dish". Basically it's a large round reflector you use with your photography lights. It gives GREAT light quality. I do know it's a stainless steel bowl because I had to do some drilling and cutting to do things like attach hardware and for the strobe heads to fit through. High quality AND sturdy can both be said for the bowl I received. I have a feeling that, had I intended to use this as a normal food bowl, I would have said very similar things about it's quality as a bowl.
The only thing I can't attest to is if it leaves your food with a metallic taste.
