Great shape, great snap-on lids ...horrible food odor retention!

Loved the snap down lids. Loved the square and rectangular sizes. Absolutely hated the odor retention in the lids. Called the manufacturer and the rep gave me a very detailed process for getting rid of odors retained in the lid gasket (which cannot be removed to be cleaned or replaced btw), which I thought was way too labor intensive for a piece of everyday kitchen equipment. I'm looking for something without that issue. If anyone has a suggestion, please reply to this review. I bought several sets of these glass storage containers to replace all my plastic ones. Now I need to start looking again.
The best there is at any price.

This is a pretty nifty set of containers. What I like best about them is the absolute seal of the lid to the container, achieved by 4 snap-flaps on each side of the lid. There is also a groove and tongue sealing system that makes the surface area of the seal greater than most conventional storage units. Great for hot or cold foods, and especially for storing those small left-overs. I would have to say that as one who has used such containers for over 50 years, that Snapware is the highest quality out there and provides the best seal. Tupperware doesn't come close.

I looked at MANY different brands of glass storage containers, and chose these based on comments from others who own them. Also, Pyrex has long been known for the quality of their glass, and many of the complaints about other brands were about the glass chipping. I'm totally happy with them! I stack the ones that aren't currently in use in a cabinet, with the lids on the containers. It doesn't add much height compared with stacking them without the lids attached, and protects the glassware. More than half of them are in use at any given time, so I'm not using up much cabinet space to store them. I love being able to see contents of each container in the refrigerator; saves time, but it's also cheerful to see the colorful foods when I open the refrigerator door.

I have 3 sets of Snapwares - 1 of the plastic, and 2 of the glass. I picked this set because of the little orange round ones - those are the most useful in my house. If you're at a point in your life where you're ready for permanent food storage, these are the nicest! The lids hold up great in the dishwasher, even with the heated dry on. I haven't had any of them break on me in 3 years.

I absolutely love these Tupperware containers. My husband always seems to break the pull tab off of all our other food containers (from dollar tree), so I bought the ones with the snaps, and they are amazing! They are air tight, and NEVER leak. I had spaghetti sauce in the little square pink tub, and I dropped it on the floor with no problems. I froze soup in the large blue tub and had no problems there. I also use them in the microwave to reheat food and it never lets me down. 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend! Best bang for your buck, for sure.
