I like this product as it contains no guar gum and not packed in BPA cans. I've used it for a few years and very happy with the taste and flavor it adds to my dishes. I use it in cooking and fresh from the can in smoothies. Guar gum is supposed not to be harmful, but I'd rather not have anything added that's not really necessary.

I purchased because this was one of few available products without additives, and seemed to be a reasonable price. Most of the cans arrived with dents, as I saw mentioned by other reviewers. But the box did not show signs of damage in transit. So I wonder if these are cans that cannot be sold at retail or regular price due to this damage. My fear with damaged cans is that there could be some tiny punctures or splitting at the seam that would lead to spoiled food. So I am trying to be vigilant to that as I use them. I am just starting to cook with coconut milk so have not tried other brands and cannot evaluate flavor. But the milk has a thick cream layer at the top, which I understand is what we should want. And it tastes fine to me. So I expect the quality otherwise is good.

I did receive a few badly dented cans possibly a combination of the fact they are simply shipped in a semi sturdy box all together with no cardboard between the cans for protection and also the cans do feel fairly thin. I appreciate that they lean towards reducing packaging but not sure the denting happened after being packaged and tossed around by different handlers or before? I used the dented cans first and forgot about the dents after tasting the real coconut flavor!
Ok so coconut milk&cream producers often add guar gum and/or other additives that reduce the natural oil separation and make the product creamier. This product is made with just organic coconut and filtered water so there is natural separation. I place the can on top of my warm TV satellite reciever or in a sunny window about an hr before use. If I am in a hurry I place the can(s) in a pan of hot water for at least 5 minutes then do the usual good shaking before opening. Enjoy!😋
