I put these in an Ikea ceiling fixture that previously had 5 50 watt halogen bulbs. If what this says is correct, that's a decrease from 250w to 24w. The color temperature is great. A tiny bit whiter than the halogens but I'm only able to tell side by side. I like the instant-on, unlike the short fade-in with the halogens.

These provide significantly more coverage than the bulbs I originally bought. Work very well in the kitchen on a 3-lamp ceiling fixture, I was able to cover most of the room. If I had a 4- or 5-lamp fixture it would have been even better. The lights is very bright, almost like a fluorescent lamp.

Nice and bright with a large spread. The shoulder is a touch larger than the incandescent version but depending on your application it may not be enough to cause any trouble. Listed as 3000K but seems a touch bluer than that. I use mine in my range hood (4) and I dont have any trouble with the color over a stainless range top.
