Exquisitely done. I marvel at how something as utilitarian as a checkbook cover can be turned into a work of art. Produced by an unidentified artisan, the handmade detail, tones, and textures are gorgeous. I think the craftsman or woman should create a small maker's mark. The leather is heavy, the stitching sturdy. I have expectations that this will last a very long time. Goodbye to cheesy vinyl bank covers that tear!

Beautiful and well crafted item. Way better than some of the "nice" leather checkbook covers that I've bought that have a stupid plastic flaps in them that eventually tear off. This should last FOREVER now that I'm down to writing about 12 checks per year.
Checkbooks have never looked so sexy!

Wow! Unlike those Match.com profile pictures, this thing is gorgeous in person. I've used those crappy plastic checkbook covers my whole life. I was over them like a skeezy ex-boyfriend! I saw this tree of life beauty on Amazon and was instantly smitten. Never been excited about a checkbook cover before. It arrived today and I skipped like a six year old girl down to the mailbox to retrieve it. I couldn't even wait until I got back to the house to unwrap it. WooHoo! It's gorgeous. My checks have never felt so well dressed. I can take them out in public now without embarrassment. I am particularly joyous over the sturdy duplicate protector flap. It protects my extra checks from stray marks like Wonder Woman's bracelets protect her from bullets.
So, to sum it up, I â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸ my new checkbook cover. Thanks Oberon Design for my leather clad beauty...wait, that sounds a little dominatrix-y. Oh well, if the leather fits, wear it!

This is a really beautiful item, smells of fresh leather, heavy, well made, nothing flimsy or cheap about it. Well worth the price.

As you will read in other reviews it is one of the most beautiful renditions of "the tree of life" in leather. The checkbook cover is a work of art. Yes it is stiff, however based on my experience, use will render it soft and supple over time. The fact it arrives in a clear plastic bag does not annoy me. However a classic presentation box would benefit those who wish to give it as a present..
