Cuts like crap and I bought the straight pole thinking it would be better than the original curved pole. So hard to trim at this angle. I have used many other brands' straight booms and they worked great. This one was retired to the garage wall and I went back to the original curved boom.

Quick shipment and perfect fit for my Ryobi.
Would recommend but have only used a few times, so not sure about long term reliability.

Difficult to use and uses a lot of string

I bought this to replace a Ryobi Curved Head trimmer that had feed problems.
Pros:
Well buit (In General)
String is easy to feed
Cons: Straight shaft is difficult to use for anything other than something 90° or level with the ground.
Cheap plastic guard does not provide much protection and is since it is hard plastic is likely to break quickly.
It should have been made of Nylon or another plastic that has some flexibility.
I have to trim against a lot of concrete and the string did not last long at all.
Much string is wasted compared to a feed trimmer since once it wears a little you have to throw the remainder away.

Quality metal headed unit

Works well with my Toro unit. High quality head- all metal Much nicer that the Home Depot Cheapo head that came with the unit. Hoping I get years of use with it. Snaps on and off easily as I switch between the cutter and blower attachments.

Works great - very lightweight. I have a ~9 year old Cub Cadet 4 stroke trimmer - the drive shaft in the original trimmer head broke after many hours of use. Rather than try to rebuild it, I bought this - makes for an excellent replacement
