I've used this lotion plenty after shaving. It's my favorite out of any other lotion I've tried. You can't find a better one.

PRO Tip: I personally like to use the brand The Blades Grim "˜smolder' shave oil and then this lotion after. They complement each other perfectly.

I love this Havana Aftershave Balm. I put this on immediately after shaving and love the slight sting and the coolness of this balm. Very soothing. The scent is like nothing I have experienced before.It does smell slightly like tobacco and something else I cannot put my finger on. I have worn this out in warm weather here in South Florida and it still felt good and the scent became slightly more pronounced. It did not feel uncomfortable in the least. I enjoy the scent so much that I have purchased the Havana Aftershave Splash which I also wear when going out. I have to admit though that I am partial to the balm because it feels so good. When you do buy this ,store it upside down as the balm tends to be slightly thick and this way you will not waste time and effort hitting the bottom of the bottle for it to come out . So do yourself a favor and buy this. You will really enjoy wearing it.

My first purchase from Barberry Coast, and it probably won't be my last. I prefer non alcohol based aftershaves so I stick to the lotions and balms like this one. The aroma of Havana is pleasant, but very very mild, in my opinion it could be a bit more bold. The packaging is fantastic, frosted glass bottle and attractive labeling. It also works very well, quite soothing to the skin after a close wet shave and a little goes a long way. I have a couple of gripes though, the price seems a bit high overall as this doesn't work immensely better then other lotions/balms I've tried. Also, if you're not careful you'll get a lot more out of the bottle than you need, think trying to get ketchup out of the old style glass containers.

The name was not inviting and did not capture the awesome smell of this product. Rename it and bring it back....

I have also reviewed the Havana shaving soap. Now as to the after shave balm. It is very rich and emollient leaving a soothing feeling on my face. My only concern is that the fragrance is pretty light and doesn't seem to last too long. Now please understand that scent is subjective and no two people will experience the product the same.
I shared my thoughts on these two products with the owner of the company and I must say that I was treated with courtesy and respect by him. How refreshing! I was told that they are in the process of developing a cologne which will expand their product line and hopefully give us a scent that will meet the needs of those who desire a little stronger scent.
Over all while I was somewhat disappointed by the scent the balm I give this company good marks for their products but very high marks for the company and it's very gracious owner.
