Nice shade but use your own directions for cutting to size

The end result is a good looking shade that functions properly but getting there was ugly. The directions take you down an path of frustration. For example, they want you to use a kitchen knife to cut through the plastic top and bottom frames using a rocking motion. I have a very good, very shape carving knife that was just about ruined using this approach. My suggestion is measure your window and cut from both sides using a box cutter knife since you have to cut through styrofoam and plastic. There is also a cutting guide that isn't useful because it's a frosted plastic which doesn't allow you to see the length markings, and it moves around rather easily which defeats it's purpose. Skip the directions and cut to size using common sense rather than the tools provided. I haven't had any issues with sticking, but I did clean the area with alcohol before affixing.

I bought these blinds because I rent and my 3 year old twin daughters destroyed the blinds that were in their room. I replaced them with these just so there would be blinds in the window and not the hanging, gaping holes they made in the old blinds.
I was surprised at how easy these blinds were to cut (with a kitchen knife....just like it says..I didn't believe it until I did it) and install. I actually had more difficulty removing the old blinds than installing these. They pull down and go up beautifully, and they are cordless which is a great feature. I was pleasantly surprised.
I bought the darker color in hopes they would keep the light out but alas they didn't. They look great, but if you want blinds that will darken your room these aren't for you. Luckily I have some black out curtains I added that helped a lot.
I would still buy these blinds again but only for a room I don't want to keep dark.
I am still going to give this product a 5 star rating because of:
-ease of cutting/installing
-they look great in the window
-the cordless feature
-I would buy them again

I've purchased theses blinds for our rental home because no hardware and drilling was required to install. The installation was as easy as described. Out of the 4 I purchased one broke after a few days, the vendor provided a replacement within 48h of notifying him. Excellent customer service!!! And since no issues. The only cons is that the fabric could be a little thicker.

This shade fell partially down after 2 days. I cleaned that area again and pushed it back in place holding it tight with firm pressure for a couple minutes. It totally fell down the next day. Our window opening is stained and sealed wood. In addition, the second cut end came out slightly bent and ragged. One would think it should have been better after the practice with the first end. It is very difficult and time consuming to cut ends to width. We purchased the cellular shades, cut to fit at Home Depot, for the rest of our windows. Disappointed , was hoping to save some money on a few used less often and not put holes in the wood.
