Love the candles, would prefer to give a 4.5 stars. I put velcro on the bottom of them and on the window sill to keep them in place and so that the cats won't knock them over. I noticed though if I bump into one of them in particular that it will turn on then I have to reset the timer, kind of annoying but otherwise love the timer function.
I was reading other reviews before purchasing these and was concerned when people said a yellow/orange light as I wanted something more clear/white, but I have to say that I don't even realize that they have a little yellow tint, but not what some people were saying. Although we all see color differently but I felt they reflected the picture.

Don't look/feel cheap to me. The only thing is that I wish that they sold the top candle aspect of the unit incase the light dies at some point so I don't have to buy the hole unit again.

Other all I'm happy with my purchase

Very disappointed in this candle. They came with batteries and remotes. I purchased 256 candles and they never worked properly. We read the instructions and foolowecthem so that they would all come on by 5pm and then time out at 9pm. After a week we replaced all the batteries (600 batteries) went to the website and reset them again with remotes. I am removing them in Thursday because they have not turned on 5 nor shut off at 9pm. Actually they stay on continuously. I personally have this type of candle in my home and we screwed the light down at the time we wanted them to come on each day and them 6 hours later they time out. I do not recommend this product to anyone. There is a disconnect with the candle and remote. Too much money spent for them not too work. Rey disappointed.

I bought two sets of these and a set of the same candles with the silver base (both by LampLust). I don't see any difference in the color of the "flame" or the brightness. And, yes, both silver and gold are the same brightness--not very. I have no idea why these are so expensive. Although I would prefer the brighter, electric candles, I am keeping these because I don't have plugs close to all the windows where I want candles. I like having the remote, but still need to master getting them to turn on/off at the same time. One set of batteries were duds, but the rest worked fine. Also got the Holiday Joy - Window Candle Holder Clamps (for those windows with not enough of a sill) which work great.

I don't review much . . . even though I use reviews when I consider a purchase . . . so I guess I haven't played fair. I usually keep my reviews to automobiles . . . those I purchase . . . and those I like . . . so it seems a little funny to me to really like battery operated window candles . . . but I really do. These lights are simply awesome . . . other than one bad battery, I had no issues with getting all sixteen of these to operate. The directions could have been a little clearer . . . I saw nothing related to unscrewing the bulb face to install the batteries . . . but I did read that instruction in another review. After I had all sixteen candles (I know . . . I know . . . a good movie) put together and working, I turned them all off . . . placed them together . . . then turned them all on (together), set the flame to non-flicker, set the timer, then took them to each window. They are amazing. Each night they all turn on within a few seconds of each other . . . then they all turn off in the same fashion. They look great from outside . . . bright enough to see from down the road . . . and there is no heat generated behind the window treatments. If they make it through Christmas, with the same batteries, I'll be even happier. Will even be easy to put them away in their original bubble wrap and box for next year. Couldn't be happier . . .

These candles are PERFECT. A nice warm yellow glow, steady glow or gentle real candle flicker, remote controlled, and easy assembly.

However, one candle is missing the connecting piece in the flame part to complete the circuit. So I'm one candle short.

This seller doesn't have a 'contact seller' option to help. And also does not allow returns. So my choices are to order another set of four (and pay for shipping) or go through the amazon return process - which is elaborate and a pain.

I would give the actual product 5 stars, but there is no possibility for customer service so it must receive one star. There is no room in today's competitive market for no customer service options.
