Do you have gophers or moles in your yard?

I needed a barrier to protect freshly planted vegetables - just the right size when planting seedling in the ground
Buy these.

The best baskets and value.
I'm pretty sure these work.

I have been fight gophers and/or moles and/or voles for years. I have tried everything. And I mean everything, with the exception of those kill traps. Flooding. Bait. Sonic stakes. Cats. Last year was the final year I was going to mess with my yard. They had won. Then I ran across these. I have only tried one, and it's winter time. But that plant is the only one that seems like it will survive the winter. I'm going to use them on all my plants. Frequently my poor babies are uprooted by those rascals. In these cases, instead of just sticking them back down in the dirt, I'll put them inside one of these gizmos. I sincerely hope these work as well as they appear to at this time. Will keep you updated when the weather warms up.
it's stainless steel-- it looks like it will work

it's stainless steel-- it looks like it will work. Only time will tell if the little bastards can chew through it. I gave it 4 stars just because it looks like it will work.
Too much to pay for too little protected space

They seem sturdy enough, but I can't imagine why they cost so much. And they're pretty small for the price. I could almost have had as much protected space for my root vegetables by planting them in (free) 1-gallon plastic pots sunk into the ground.
