Attractive and easy to install

Really easy installation. I combined 2 of these with a snappy trap and couldn't be happier. Be aware that you'll need an extra slip nut if you're getting rid of your disposal. Put the foam washer up top and the rubber one down below the sink. Crank it down and enjoy an attractive and leak free drain.
Good upgrade to old strainer

Used this to replace an old strainer in a sink at our cabin. Easy to install -- I just had to cut a couple of inches off of the white plastic drain pipe, since this strainer is much deeper (i.e., longer) than the old one. Once installed, all is fine. No drips, and my wife likes the deep strainer basket with the bail, makes it easy to trap and remove all the stuff from peeling and cutting veggies.

Why didn't I convert to these deep strainers years ago! Could have saved years of being grossed out by food particles while washing dishes. These are wonderfully practical and function well...easy to keep the sink clean now...easy to dump food particles in trash without spilling on the way!
This is great for septic tanks.

Great product for those with septic tanks if you can't or don't want to risk using a disposal. Has a large perforate bowl that collects minor stuff that doesn't get scrapped off into the trash. I found the perforations to be too small to keep the water flowing so I just drilled a few of the holes out at the bottom of the collector bowl and that solved the problem. Wish the large ring that tightens under the drain was metal like most of the other parts but time will tell if that really matters.

Purchased this to replace the one on our laundry room sink. I have to say that it is hands-down, the absolute best, highest quality, most stylish, most functional, and best overall value kitchen strainer money can buy. We love it so much, we will be buying another to replace our kitchen sink strainer as well.
