After using the FrictionLabs Unicorn Dust chalk, I can't go back to the climbing chalk I was using before. My hands sweat a lot, definitely more than the average person. The FrictionLabs chalk doesn't gunk up on my hands like my old chalk did. I couldn't tell you if I chalked up less often because of using the unicorn dust (again lots of hand sweating) but I have noticed that overall my skin is less dry and has led to less peeling since switching over.
This stuff is definitely expensive especially compared to the other stuff, but I won't go back.

Best climbing chalk I've ever used

This chalk really DOES make a difference. I know, it seems like climbing chalk would be just like any other climbing chalk but this stuff really earns its keep. I tend toward sweaty hands and one dusting of this stuff stays on about 3 to 4 times longer than my other "normal" chalk. So I see it as money well spent since it stays on longer and also doesn't require me to stop and chalk up nearly as much mid-route.
Amazing

If you don't think chalk makes a difference then you haven't used the right kind for you. I got the Unicorn Dust and it was perfect because I like fine chalk but ultimately Friction Labs is the way to go. It's not going to get you to V10's immediately if you're not already there but it'll definitely keep you on the problem you're working on better. Highly recommend.
Keeps the clamminess at bay.

Let me preface this review by saying that I have the clammiest, sweatiest hands of anyone I know. After spending the entire summer in Upstate New York lamenting bloodshot, cheese-grated, swollen fingertips following a day of outdoor bouldering, I set out on a quest to find chalk that would minimize my pain and suffering. This chalk is by far the best product I've tried. It is even better than liquid chalk. I don't know what it is about this chalk, but frankly, I don't care, because it keeps my fingers as dry as they can be. I still wear out my finger pads. I still have trouble holding anything in my fingers a day after a full-day outdoor sesh, but this chalk allows me to climb harder and for longer. Good job, FrictionLabs.
Almost the perfect climbing chalk

I have naturally sweaty hands, especially when my adrenaline starts pumping. So chalking before a climb is a must for me. I climb about 95% indoors and the occasional outdoor limestone, all sport climbing. I am used to using cheap black diamond chalk and didn't know there were better alternatives until I tried unicorn dust. the difference between the two different brands is phenomenal. I don't have to rechalk as often with the unicorn dust and it gives my hands noticeably more friction on holds. I tend just to put a a couple of tablespoons worth of chalk in my bag at a time to cut down on making too big of a mess, and I've been on the same first batch in the bag going on 6-7 gym climbs. The only reason I didn't give this chalk 5 stars was because it was clumpier than I imagined. I expected purely chalk dust, but instead got a mixture of fine dust and clumps the size of raisons. I don't know if this is intentional or if I got a bad batch, but regardless I would buy again.
