Worked perfect with slight modification. I used the standoffs that was on my damaged ladder. Installation could be tricky without experience in fabrication. So far I like it.

This ladder worked ok on an old 1983 Georgie Boy. It only had 4 standoffs which I initially thought was going to cause wimpiness, but it ended up sturdy enough. I had to cut about 3/4" off the ends of the hoopty handle things at the roof to get that to look and fit right and had to shorten 2 of the standoffs to follow the contour. The thread inserts in the standoffs just drive in, so you don't lose the threads by whacking on the standoffs. Some other folks have posted using tubing cutters to shorten the ladder, I tried that and found it mushroomed the soft aluminum tubing resulting in needing to file and ream the ID, then went forward using a hacksaw and didn't have to ream any more tubes. The screws they include are junk, I used self drilling self tapping sheet metal building screws with rubber washers under the heads(like for building barns and stuff). I also was dealing with rotten structure in the old RV which probably caused the job to take twice as long, probably took my son and I about 3 hours one day then I finished up in about an hour the following day. All in all, for 80 bucks delivered I thought it beat tar out of the junky scary ladder I had before. Hope that helps.
Good product for the money. Its flexibility gave me what I needed

This is a good product for the money and the modular nature of the product gave me what I needed. First I should say that I did not mount mine like it is shown in the product photos. Because of where the roof support members are located on my rig (and because I HATED the thought of putting holes in my rubber roof) I decided to mount my unit to the back wall of my rig instead of having the top portion go up and onto the roof. (see photos attached). Installation was pretty simple. It took me about 4 hours but most of that time was spend figuring out how I could make what I had work with, work the way I wanted to since I was improvising. Thankfully the product is very modular and can be mounted in a number of ways based on how creative you are. Mounting to the roof is sturdier for sure since the roof picks up a lot of the load of you standing on the ladder. Since I wasn't doing it that way I had to come up with an alternative way of supporting the downward forces. I decided to mount the lower portion of the ladder on my back bumper to support the vast majority of the load. Then I used the 4 stand-off mounting posts (If they would have given me more than 4 support mounts I would have given this 5 stars) to secure to the back wall, making sure to hit studs behind the metal siding. There was some modification of parts but very easy to do. In the end I wound up with exactly what I was looking for with a modest investment of my time. Small disclaimer: I'm a contractor & mechanic so what I consider "easy modifications" and installation others might find more difficult. But basic tools and common sense goes far with this product.
Good Quality Ladder with a Challenging Installation
Vic Kanid✓ Verified PurchaseAugust 1, 2023
The ladder on my Jayco was damaged and needed replaced. This ladder came in an undamaged box and when unpacked seemed of very good quality. It used twice as many fasteners, of the same size as the factory ones, for the critical supports resulting in a very strong ladder if installed in good wood. However, the actual installation is challenging since the instruction sheet is pretty sketchy and brief. You'll need something to make sure it's square with the trailer (I leveled the trailer and then used a level on the ladder). Something to accurately drill the upright pieces for the standoffs (I used a small drill press) and something to accurately cut the ladder uprights as needed since, in my case, it was a bit too long for the trailer. What complicates the installation is that both the upper piece and the the lower piece have special ends. The upper piece has a necked down uprights that the roof handles bolt to and the lower piece has the curved ends that attach to the trailer above the bumper. So, you have to make your cuts somewhere in the middle which may result in some odd spaced rungs. I am happy with the finished installation; it's strong and looks good...though it does have an oddly spaced rung in the middle.
Universal and allows versatility

Because of the universal design, I was able to join to existing ladder. I just had to buy a tube cutter. You get a universal part that allows you to join two ladders together, so it saved me from having to remove the lower part of the old ladder, which is riveted to the RV. I didn't like the foot that attaches to the roof as it only has two screws. The foot is not very stable as it is designed to swivel probably for different applications However, needs a wider foot that attaches to the roof with four screws like my old ladder had. Went to hardware store to buy two steel plates for under the foot to add stability.
