We just have a small back yard. Most of the grass is thick & green except for a small portion off to one side which had been ravaged by bindies. After killing off the bindies, we had patches of brown grass & thought we might try the grass paint as a quick & easy option.
Using the spray bottle made it a near effortless task & provided smooth easy coverage, however the color differs far to much from a "grass color" for this product to be a good cosmetic fix.
The color is a surprisingly bright green, much lighter & brighter than what you would typically think of as a grass color. It looks slightly better than obvious brown spots but not by much.
I thought that it might tend to blend in a little better once the sprayed grass had been exposed to a week of watering & sun etc but I can't say I notice any improvement.
If this product was available in a few color options, some variations of green which blended better with the natural color of the lawn, I would give this 5 stars.
If you do have multiple spots you would like to cover & want to give it a try, I would recommend doing the entire lawn which should blend a bit better but beware this stuff really sticks so cover any boundaries to your yard & where you want to spray as this product is very difficult to remove.

I put myself in a pickle. I was doing some painting and I put plastic over my lawn with my saw horses. It was pretty warm that day and I did not remove the plastic right away when I was finished and I burnt a huge section of my lawn. In a week I was going to be hosting a garden party in my backyard and now I had a huge brown spot on my lawn. I purchased this product and it came within 2 days. I shook it up well as the directions instructed and did nice big sweeping motions of spray over burnt area and Wallah it worked fabulously! I have Saint Augustine grass and there was just a slight variation in color. The party was this last Saturday and absolutely nobody noticed. Thanks for saving the day!!!! Would recommend this product to anyone!

We hosted two friends' wedding last night at our home. The urine stains were unsightly so we bought this product. I was skeptical - and can see why some people didn't like it - but for us, it was a godsend. It covered up the dead grass enough and blended pretty well. It will stain anything it touches so I dripped a drop of it on nearby slate and that seems pretty permanent. And definitely wear gloves because the spray nozzle drips as you spray it.

Our dog leaves burn spots. I generally de-thatch them and use a lawn spot repair seed. So throughout our lawn you see bare spots with turf builder. However before we have a large outdoor party (maybe 3-4 times per summer), I leave the thatch (which is basically brown grass) and spray this on it instead, to make our lawn look a close to perfect as possible.
Yes, I have become lawn obsessed because we paid a small fortune for sod and my dog is destroying it slowly but surely. So I fully understand that painting grass green is super weird, neurotic and kind of gross. But I dont care!

Just got done using this product and wearing all the safety equipment required. It did in fact turn the grass green BUT why save a buck with such a cheap sprayer really bugged me using it. I'm a tall guy and it was a real pain in the neck, let alone having the sprayer stop spraying here and there really got on my nerves.. Ended up pouring it into another sprayer I own.. We will see how long it last..
