Bad deal. Used almost daily for the last 11 months.
1) the coloring chips off - "wood"
2) the metal feet sagged when I needed to boost this up. Sorry I'm over 5'8"... had to lift it up an inch and it sagged quickly so now it rocks back and forth
3) let the record show I RARELY change from high to low... it takes forever so I do it as littel as possible. I did it yesterday and the thing broke.
4) so, now the right side goes up and down a few inches while the left side strains and breaks under the pressure of not moving while the other end moves.
5) my table is lopsided due to this unfixable situation
6) broke in under a year of light use on the winding thing. I deserve a refund or a repair but apparently they don't have any at all.

Smashed, dented, and missing the crank piece
Sara✓ Verified Purchase•January 5, 2017
I shopped around for a while and was very excited about this product. Unfortunately it arrived looking as though it had been through a war zone. Every corner was chipped and smashed, and even the center of the desktop had a dent in it. I wish I could tell you how it functioned, but they did not bother to include the crank piece, so I couldn't even expand it to see if a version of the product that was in good condition would have been worth it. It's quite heavy for one person, so re-packaging and re-mailing this thing is going to take a lot of effort and time on my part. I'm so disappointed.
Wire broken after 6 months of normal use (Problem solved: Vendor fixed the problem quickly)
Lin✓ Verified Purchase•October 15, 2016
I bought this desk in April, 2016. I put my monitor and laptop on it. It has been working fine. I leveled it up and down for about 2 times a day.
Last night, when I was leveling it up, I suddenly heard a "BUM!" sound. It sounded like something was broken, and I wasn't able to level the tabletop up with the handle anymore. I looked at the bottom of the table and found that the metal wire for lifting the table was broken (see photos).
I don't think the stuffs (a laptop and a monitor) I put on the table are too heavy and I have been gentle when lifting the table with the handle provided. I wouldn't expect that this table could only last for just 6 months given I spent hundreds of dollar on it. The metal wire seems to be too weak or defective for the lifting purpose. It's lucky that I didn't hurt myself when the wire was broken. The table is heavy and I could have seriously hurt my fingers when the wire was broken and the table collapsed.
Latest Update (Dec 2, 2016): The vendor is responsive and I am working with him on the problem. He's sending me a new wire to see if I can replace the broken one and fix the problem. If it doesn't work, I will get a table for replacement. So I change my rating from 1 star to 3 star for now, to be fair.

Sturdy gem of a table for a standing desk
Lacey✓ Verified Purchase•July 17, 2016
After injuring my back, I was told to not sit, either stand or be prone. Started searching for a standing desk alternative that was not overpriced. What is the deal with these stand alone desks that rise up being so ridiculously expensive? Decided before spending a ton of money would try this. What a gem. Completely sturdy, does not wiggle at all. The turn crank is only on the right side, not two places as stated. It still works for me, so not returning it or complaining. Cranks up or down smoothly. Do wish there was a pine or honey colored option instead of the really light faux wood grain. Could have ordered the cherry, but would clash with my pine. Very happy with the table, size and operation. Who knew hurting my back would open me up to standing at my desk. Will never go back to sitting.
It looks nice (sufficient packaging

This table top converted me on standing desks. For adapters (instead of adjustable desks themselves), it was the only one big enough for my computer/laptop and papers (and then some). It takes maybe 10 seconds to crank it up or down, and there is no real strength involved. It looks nice (sufficient packaging: 2 corrugated cardboard boxes, foam, plastic bag, etc.) and feels sturdy. I also like that if the handle is misplaced, the desk can still be used with a regular socket wrench.
When it arrived the handle crank didn't fit in. The nut is just a little off center in the hole, and there wasn't enough clearance for the socket head of the handle/wrench. A stronger person was able to slide it in place, so I didn't seek a replacement. I can't tell if the occasional squeak as I crank is related to the handle rubbing against the plastic sheath or the raising/lowering pulleys. While the handle can go in or out now, it does take a little tap to push it all the way in.
