I love this jacket! The fabric is thick and woolen, the stitching is tight and neat. The buttons are sewn on properly. It's a great looking coat! If you only button the bottom button, you can open the top up to look like a huge lapel with a piped colllar. I did not find that that it was TOO A-lined. With the large collar, it creates a nice straight silhouette. The open bottom means that you can sit and move around more freely. I'm 5'10 and 240 pounds. The 1X fits beautifully and the hem hits just below my hips which is great!

Very well made, and a great swing style for someone like myself with wide hips. The combination of buttons and snaps makes the coat lay well, and it can be comfortably worn with the collar up or down. The wool finish is smooth and soft, and the silky lining makes it easy to put over sweaters. I wear it when the weather dips into the 30s and 20s. It arrived somewhat wrinkled after traveling in a box, but I steamed it, and it looks perfect. The sleeves were somewhat long for me, but I was able to shorten them with ease. It is sized as indicated in the description. It is "a good wool coat" for cold northeastern winters.

This coat is beautiful, we don't get a lot of days below 40 here and I hate spending a lot of money on a heavy coat. The quality, fit and appearance exceeded my expectations. The fit is perfect, I normally wear a 16 and have issues with the sleeve length. I am 5'5", 190lbs; I ordered a 1X, the coat is roomy around my body without being too big. The sleeves are just a tad long, they hit my hand midway, between the knuckles and wrist. There is ample shoulder room without looking like it swallows me. The overall weight is good, I am in the Houston area so we don't get a lot of winter, but this will work well on those handful of cold days. The color is not bright red but not burgundy either. It's clearly red, but not like what they call fire engine! I am very happy with the coat and will watch this name brand for future purchases.

I bought this coat for a steal at 25.00 I ordered the 1X only because of the price 2X, 3X where a hundred dollars + more...BUT it fits! I am over weight
at the moment and wear size 16-18 in pants and I'm 44F in my chest. I am about 5'8 and this red wool double breasted coat fits! Because this is kind of like a cape, the front doesn't button down and is roomy. I have long arms and the sleeves go past my wrist. The coat is deep red and light weight wool. If I want to wear a big sweater underneath it would be tight, but a moderate long sleeve is just right. I don't need a big thick jacket where I live and this is perfect. Good quality and style too!

I have to say I love it which is why I hit 5 stars. I get many compliments while wearing it. I am a very large lady over 250, and 5'7", and thought the red would be too much. No,it is more of a deep wine red. not a bright red. The straight lines hang nice. This coat looks beautiful opened or closed. The description does not point out the weight, it is very light for the size I purchased 3X, it is lined nicely, and has both a nice pleat in the back, as well as many variations of ways to wear. The printed description also lacks the addition of the 2 large heavy duty all encompassing sewn, interior pressure snaps. (not buttons), a well crafted seamstress bonus for a bigger person ) this is in addition to the 2 usable breast buttons and the visually appealing additional 2 for show, buttons. The overlap is generous in the front so which is both warm and adds to the Hang.
