If you have a skin condition..... you need this.

I have psoriasis... including my scalp. It have been bothering me and has been super dry lately. I looked into OTC shampoos but remembered they don't work, and irritate my scalp worse. So I hit google and found a list for the best shampoo for psoriasis, and Honey Skin was on the list.

I used a quarter size after my normal shampoo..... that was too much. Boy did I have lather. Didn't love the smell ( or hate it) thats not why I bought it. I need some relief. It felt like it was soothing. After rinsing my hair felt squeaky clean. Now I'm not a fan of that, normally, because I feel its too harsh and I worry its going to strip my hair and dry it out. Then I applied the conditioner. This stuff is where it's at! Not only did it soften my hair, it calmed my inflamed skin.... I could actually feel the scales soften and lift away ( sorry if thats gross, but if you have psoriasis you will understand). My fingers went thru may hair like butter.... so although the shampoo leaves it squeaky clean... the conditioner truly softens and restores.

After rinsing, before applying styling products, I could see how smooth, and calm my hair is. My scalp felt amazing too. Like someone put out the fire , no more itching and burning. Threw it in a bun and went to bed. My hair is soft and smooth today. Scalp is less itchy and less flakes....build up in minimal in comparison. It almost feels normal. I think with continued use this could really help my condition.

Keep these things in mind:

Shampoo doesn't have the fruity flower scent you are use to. There are no silicones. So it will leave your hair squeaky clean.... but that's why you need this conditioner. I really feel you need both to get the benefits. Ive never seen a conditioner calm my scalp this way.

It will lather, unlike the other reviews. If its not to your liking... either get you hair really wet, add so water to the shampoo ( it's concentrated) or use it as a second shampoo.

I will update in a few weeks to make sure my opinion hasn't changed with use. If you have any form of an skin condition, or dry inflamed , sensitive scalp.... get this! You won't be sorry.

Also, you save a ton getting them together in this duo and on a subscription- you're welcome!

Update: After using this for almost a month, I'm noticing it might be too strong for my scalp. My scalp feels sensitive to the touch. I'm also noticing bumps on my scalp, which I get when my skin doesn't like something. I'm also noticing my scalp doesn't seem as refreshed as it did at first. Although I still like it, I am returning it as I feel I make have developed an allergy.
Not for daily use for dry hair

I've lost count how many sebhorreic dermatitis shampoos and conditioners I've bought so far, but this one has been the best so far. It's not that that great, at least for my case, because my condition is real severe. Although as the disclaimer says it's not intended to heal or treat the condition, it still sucks. I have super dry curly hair. On top of my seborric dermatitis, my hair has also been colored and treated with keratin (fyi for people who actually want to keep their curls, don't buy what they say--keratin treatment is not the way to go). I go through periods -- too much buildup, excessively dry, itchy, and scaly. I don't know how much this shampoo and conditioner has helped but I can say that it works to get rid of buildup especially with a scalp brush. I would say use the shampoo no more than twice a week, particularly if you have dry hair. It feels like it sucks up the good stuff as well as the bad. The conditioner is nice, but I definitely use more than a quarter sized amount lol It's definitely more moisturizing than the shampoo. It doesn't leave dry hair moisturized enough; a leave-in conditioner and/or oils would be best to use afterwards. So it may be because of my seborric dermatitis, but I give it 3 stars for softness/moisturizing, 3.5 for scent (it's very subtle so some people might like that. It's too subtle for me; I like actually being able to smell my hair without lifting strands to my nose), and so 4 stars overall. It's a'ight.
Not like any shampoo I've used

The end result is my hair feels soft and healthy. Unfortunately, thats not why I purchased it. I have been getting itchy bumps on my scalp. From what I have read its focullits. This stuff didn't help with that at all. I have been using a different shampoo that was tee tree and lavender and that worked better. I never use any shampoos with sulfates or phosphates. My scalp is so sensitive. I've used this shampoo twice. It does not lather hardly at all - other reviews state the same and the company says they don't put lathering agents in their products. I like the lather because it lets me know I have distributed the shampoo throughout my head. My hair is very long, almost to behind, so I had to use more than instructed. There is not much of a smell. I wish I would have read the size of this product. It is tiny for the price. I would not buy this again because it didn't work well on my itchy bumps. If you are looking for a natural shampoo that makes your hair look and feel healthy, this is it. If you have scalp issues, this might help a little but I have not experienced a significant improvement to justify buying this again.
Great for eczema, still flaky though

This might be more on my part but this shampoo and conditioner combination has been great to me. I've been through a list of products that claim they will help my hair and scalp. Tried the Selsun blue, head and shoulders, Neutrogena T-sal, Dove Dandruff, the list goes on and on. Each one either smelled like tar, dried and irritated my scalp, or made my hair feel stiff and brittle.
After a few weeks of using this I've noticed that my hair is much softer and my scalp less red. The smell is light and subtle, something I was happy with since I'm used to either smelling like a candy store or like something dragged through a chemical plant. While helping my scalp I do notice it's still a tad flaky. Definitely not like it was on the other products but still there to some extent. I'm still on my hunt for the miracle bottle.
Speaking of bottles these are tiny! My first order lasted me about 3.5 months with me shampooing every other day. The shampoo comes out quick and easy but the conditioner...well either turn it on its head or give it a SMACK DOWN! Takes some effort to get out :)
End of the day I'm going to order these again but will continue my hunt on that flake free shampoo that works for me.
This cleared my scalp issues.

For a year I tried every shampoo for dandruff or dry skin. All the stuff I tried didn't work and it took my color out. When I got this product, the first thing I noticed was that they were smaller bottles than I expected. They look like travel bottles. I bought the face and body wash too. This worked. I'm not kidding. They were a little expensive but I am finally back to normal after a year of feeling so self-conscious. The shampoo lathers nicely and the conditioner makes my hair so soft. I didn't expect it to feel as nice with Vegan products. I'm not going back to other shampoos. I bought the larger size before I ran out of the travel size. I think my peace of mind is worth that price for sure. I'd like to add that I worked as a hairstylist in upscale salons for 20 years in NY and LA. I will not buy overpriced, salon brand shampoos anymore.

**Update**
I had run out of the shampoo but was still using the conditioner. The price is kind of high so I thought I'd use up some of my other shampoos first. Flakes and itching came back. I bought it again and it's only been a week and everything has been better. I suggested my friend buy it for the same issues I was having. She has extremely thick hair and didn't like the shampoo because it's watery and she said she had to use too much. I suggested that she do the first wash with another shampoo and then the second wash try to use it just on the scalp. She's now noticing improvement. I think part of the problem with thick hair is getting to the scalp to scrub it and rinse it thoroughly. So, I'm still sticking to this even though it's expensive. It just works.
