I've been using this for a few months in my bedroom (12x13'--- perhaps too big for this unit?) but it hasn't made too much of a difference in the amount of moisture in the air unless I use the more powerful setting and keep it running. The blue light (an option to have on) is very bright, so we don't use it. The "on" button light, however, seems to be made with the same bright blue light, so it can be distracting and keeps me up sometimes (hence the 4 stars).
You need to make sure you clean this completely and dry it regularly as the interior got really dirty on mine and what looked like mold started to grow on the edges. I bleached and dried everything and it's better now).

I loved this cool mist humidifier so much that I bought a 2nd. Since summer is here to stay, we wanted to purchase this cool mist humidifier to replace the older warm mist humidifiers we've had for years. The warm mist humidifiers are a nightmare to keep clean, and obviously make the rooms warmer during use. We found this cool mist humidifier on a lightning deal, and it works great! Despite our hard water, requires very little cleaning, if any. One full tank lasts more than 1 night on full blast, and it really helps our kids when they suffer with allergies and colds. I can't recommend this humidifier enough. I will end up purchasing a 3rd so we can have one in all of the bedrooms.

Great item! I purchased this humidifier for my son who was sick with a terrible cold. The sleek design is excellent, and the compact size makes it fit easily on a dresser or nightstand. I was concerned that it might leak and placed it in a plastic tray overnight just to be sure, but had no problems and don't feel a tray is necessary. Really like the option to have the light feature on or off. Was surprised by how long the water supply lasted as the unit is not very big, didn't have to refill it for several nights. I only used distilled water, so do not have any input on calcification or other cleaning. Would definitely recommend this item!
Works well, cleaning is a slight pain.

It's been quite dry in the bedroom at night so we decided to give this a purchase, it helped both my wife and I sleep my better and wake up feeling no where nearly as dry as before, a whole tank of water lasts the entire night and you can't even hear it running.
Two cons to this device though.
-There is a function to turn the night light off, but the actual blue glow of the power button is rather bright, I ended up covering it up with a piece of tape.
-Cleaning it can be quite a pain. Whether it be the product of my water / environment of this device, it does seem to get a little moldy / scrummy after a couple weeks of use. Cleaning inside of it took a few cotton swabs and some steaming hot water to get it all cleaned up.

This unit works perfectly. I bought it for my son as he was getting a cough, and it helped him through the night. He loved the fact that it has a light too - said it was like a bonus night light. Another good point is that the water lasted exactly overnight and was used up in the morning. This is nice because it is timed just right with sleep schedules. I am using distilled water because we have extremely hard water here. Installation was quite simple and we figured out the controls immediately. If I could change one thing, it would be having a slightly easier way of getting rid of excess water left in the reservoir. I had to shake it around to drain the small amount remaining. If that got left in there, it could become dank and smelly, but I was able to get the water out. I am happy with it and would buy another.
