There are better (more expensive ) chains if you need real help ...

Decent chains for pedestrian amounts of snow. These do not do well if you lose traction and the tires spin going up a hill. They will skew and slip off or simply break at the twist lock. There are better (more expensive ) chains if you need real help in sever weather that have hook and ladder clasps

The one that stays on is awesome with great traction. The other has a widened clasp that when driving disconnects and it fall off. I guess you know what that means.

Saved my day at Mammoth mountain during the snow storm, so 5 stars. I used a car jack to jack up the wheel. This makes putting the chain on much easier. They do rust, so make sure to hang dry them after use to minimize the rusting.
