I am usually a 5.5 - 6 in shoes and I got the size 6. They are a little roomy if I wear thin socks but would fit very well if I wore thicker socks (this is how I wanted them to fit). I am pretty short (5'1" and 103 lb.) and these hit an inch or two below my knee. The inside is incredibly soft, and if you pull the insole out there is a reflective coating (looks like aluminum foil) that is supposed to keep the cold out.
Great boots, half-size would help - but oh, well

As far as sizing goes, my size is 7, but since my foot is on the wide side, I can go with 7.5 or even 8. With this brand, 7 is a bit too short, had to go with 8, which is a bit too long. Still happy - warm, comfortable, great style and materials (no faux fur). Though could use a little room at the top, with my athletic calf (these are 14" at the top). The pair I bough had a defect, so, I had to return them. It would've been an exchange, but I found a pair at the local store. Love them.

I love these boots. We got a huge snow storm this year (over 3 feet of snow) and I was out shoveling for hours and my feet were nice and toasty. I like these because the material is somewhat breathable so my feet didn't sweat like in my other boots. The only problem is my calves are thick and squeezing them into the boots is a chore. After a while they did stretch slightly and they fit better but it took quite a few wears before that happened.

I ordered my size (11) and they are roomy. I can put on two pairs of thick socks and still have enough room. They bunch at the ankle, but I expected that from other reviews. They are tall and warm, which is what I wanted. The toe end curves up. That will help as I tend to trip in the snow. I have small ankles and calves and though the boot ankle is wide, the calf is snug. They pull on easily. I wear boot-cut jeans and have to work a bit to get them tucked in. I haven't had a chance to test them for waterproof-ness.
