The concept for these laces is great. I would give them 5 stars except that they didn't work for the reason I bought them. I got them for my grandson who doesn't seem to care if his shoelaces stay tied throughout the day. I absolutely can't stand to see anyone walking on their shoelaces so it drives me crazy that he does this. He wears hightop sneakers so I thought these would be great. I laced his shoes up and adjusted the laces as per the instructions, then cut the ends so that the length was at the bottom set of holes on his sneakers then I attached the clips. I thought this would give him plenty of room to get his foot into the neck of the hightop. It didn't work. The elastic is so tight that even after loosening the laces at the top of the shoe he still couldn't get his foot in. He only wears a size 1 in boys and he has a very thin foot so it isn't like he was trying to put a huge foot into a small hole. I had to return them and get another brand of clip type laces so that he can actually open the top clips to get his shoes on. I wouldn't recommend these laces for hightops even though they say you can use them for boots. They are better suited for regular type sneakers/shoes that don't have a neck at the top.

These are great! Believe the hype!
My biggest concern was the quality of the laces and the locks---but that was all put to rest when I opened the package. The laces are super great quality and while they stretch, they don't feel like they would break at all! (I felt like I would be wasting if I threw away the extra part I cut off--so I kept them for any other projects I might need a quality rope for) The lock has a very strong spring that truly keeps the laces "locked". I was a bit concerned my 10yr old would not be able to unlock it, but he was able to with both hands. Shoes fit snug and feel great so far!

Love these laces! I have them on every pair of shoes I own including my steel toe workboots. They are super easy to tighten if needed but I just usually run them loose so I can slip my shoes on and off but still have some support in the tongue area. I used to always wear skate shoes with the laces cut and tied at the ends but these work much better. The heavy duty boot version have held up all year so far and I am extremely hard on my boots, I used to replace laces every few months.

Works great for people with disabilities. It can be difficult for disabled people to constantly tie their shoes. Lock Laces and a long shoe horn makes that unnecessary because you can just slide your foot right in...instant slip ons, but with a customized and secure fit. I also like that you can leave expansion room if your feet swell. I made a mistake when installing. Although I left the 3 inch recommended surplus, I had obviously tightened too much on the foot prone to swelling. The 3 inches made sure I had plenty of room to adjust, which is great, but now I have uneven laces. My own fault but a word of warning to install these when you have a swollen foot. Also I have had the lace tip lock thing unpop but that could be because I have weak hands and can't lock it down. Hopefully I won't lose it because I do like these things. Need to get more Lock Laces for my other shoes.

They fit exactly like you install them. You cut them to fit. I wear an size 8.5 Nike shoe. When I installed mine as directed and trimmed the ends, there was at least 7 inches left over. I purchased these after my shoe came untied while on the treadmill and I didn't want to interrupt my cardio to retie. I had to put up with an annoying flapping string for 30 minutes. I love Lock Laces. No more flapping shoe strings. They are made with elastic so my shoes slip on and off with ease. No more tieing and untieing. I'll never fool with shoe strings again.

I think every athletic shoe manufacturer should include a set of these with every pair of shoes. They are a safety feature. Can't trip on them.
