The snoods are okay. It's good for costumes worn for short periods of time or photos. The threads are painfully thin and would only be good for short hair, regardless of their size. They wouldn't last for several wearings or even a hand wash. returned them due to they aren't worth the price.

The colors are a lot brighter and more garish than pictured and the yarn is the cheapest most course, stick to your raspy fingers sort of stuff. Kind of nasty. Otherwise, they stay on well, maybe even run a bit small if that is what is needed. Good for cheap costume and theatre use but not classy enough for much else.

The chemical stink of this product was really awful. It actually made me think that the people working in the factory might be in danger.
You definitely need to wash and air prior to use. I hand washed - minimal dye comes out with hand washing, but some of the chemical odor remains. I think just time and other washings will take care of that.

I LOVE them. Actually they kept my head warm the one day that I wore one while I was cooking. I'm a 72 year old diva so I like for everything to match. My hair is shoulder length and awhile back one of my granddaugters found one of my hairs in her food.
