Will fit in a one gallon carboy but remember wood swells when wet and it would not come back out. Had to set a dehumidifier in a box with the carboy for a couple days to extract
Good SPirals. Adds good flavor if you know how to use them properly.

I've been homevtewing for the last 8 years. When I come time to oak and age wine/beer, you can't go wrong with these spiral sticks. I know having a barrel is cool, but these cost less, save on space, and does the same thing as a barrel in a shorter time.

I added extra char after I used them with a propane torch, it worked great.
