We had no problem with the durability or the closure. Yes, sometimes the lid falls in, and sometimes our 2 year old toddler boy take the whole thing APART because he's interested in the construction of things. So, we pull the life OUT and all's well again... and we put the whole thing back together - hahaha - and ask him to put the toys back, and all's well again.
These toy boxes are LOVELY and definitely a nice addition to just about any decor. I bought 3 of them and placed 2 in the living room since our little guy likes to play around us, and one in the baby's room. The toy boxes are perfect for his room and look sweet in the living room as well. The fabric is nice and soft and are easily cleaned (superficial spots wipe off easily). We've got this one with the many little elephants, another one with one large beautiful elephant and a third one with a giraffe. We are all very happy with these toy boxes, which hold a LOT of toys and look quite smashing for a "toy chest." And, of course, you can't beat this price.

This is my daughters first toy box. Soft, sturdy and maintains the rectangular shape. Soft and light lid that won't hurt or pinch children. Handles on the sides to move it around easily. I was really impressed with how well it is made and the pattern and colors are stunning. I will probably buy more of these in the future.
