I've prevented sunburn by tying it around my neck.
I used it as a placemat on the ground to prepare my food.
I wore it over my face in my tent to get a little warmer.
It catches excess sweat, which helps me stay cool.
When I hurt my arm, I tied it as a sling until I got to the hospital, true story!
The material dries fast.
You can even make a little backpack out of it with the right ties!

This is one of the most versatile items I use! Outside of the intended use, there are some loose strands of thread imbedded in it. I used some of those for sewing. I've also used it as a make shift sling bag when I had a few extra items unexpectedly. It's been on three trips in two continents and hasn't let me down (though it is a little beat up). Highly recommended!
