I have a 285-gallon hot tub and I filled half of a solo party cup with this and poured it in. It was crazy bubble bath city. I would recommend like a shot-glass worth for 285 gallons. Also, I found the best way to clean the tub after this product starts working is to just scoop off the soap bubbles/foam (you'll see that they are dirty suds). Otherwise the gunk that it breaks up can redeposit and dry on your tub.Then you're right back to scrubbing that off. Haven't tried soaking my filter in this yet, but will probably only do it with like a thimble-worth of this product.

This product permanently stained my hot tub. I followed the exact directions and let it run in the hot tub for an hour and then drained the hot tub.
This is when the stain showed up. There were no other chemicals in the tub at the time. I had already drained and wiped the tub clean before I refilled with clean water and added this product. I have found NO cleaner that will remove the stain. Be very cautious using this product.

Lives up to its name!!! And I mean that in a good way. I didn't realize all the sludge that would come out of my hot tub. It was gross, but I'm glad it's now out of my hot tub and not all over me. :-)

This is one great product. Cleaned the hot tub lines out with ease..... By just pouring 1/2 the large bottle for a 350 gallon tub around the sides then turning on the jets for several hours. This seemed to release all the grimey yucky stuff hidden in the lines. Scrubbing the tub walls was simplified i just poured a small amount on an interior tub scrubbing pad. Drained tub, rinsed and refilled.

Works well to sanitize a spa. I had an unusually filthy spa which was donated to me and unfortunately had to fill, treat, run for an hour and flush SIX times. The fifth time I took apart the connections and ran a brush through them to break up the nasty crud lodged in the piping.
