It is tight. I do like it, expect a spandex form fit. I love the length and will use it but not without a sweater over it. Great though for the price. I ordered a 1 X, I am 5'4" and weigh 180 lbs. I usually take a size 16 or 1X.. I ordered this in a 1X but would probably of been happy with a 2X
