The tapers are good. The remote timer function doesn't always work but overall it pretty good! I like that I don't have to manually turn on each taper. The remote will turn on more than one at a time.

OK... I was very pleasantly surprised by these lights! My wife bought 3 boxes of 'em for holiday lights and I just assembled them. They each take 2 AA batteries and the batteries were included (not a name-brand battery, but they weren't leaking and seemed a decent quality). Every light worked perfectly out of the box (two of 'em didn't light the first time, but when I removed and then immediately replaced the batteries, they worked just fine). The remote control lets you turn them on/off, set a 4-6 hour timer, adjust flicker/solid-on and high/low brightness.

I didn't realize they were just the tapers so I had to order bases too. Can't wait to get them in all the windows. I'm sure they will be exactly what I wanted.

I like them. They don't look as natural as a friends who gave me your info. Perhaps I ordered the wrong ones. Anyway. So far they are good. A little more instructions on the timer would be good as they all came back on the next day and I didn't exoect that. Very natural flicker. Not bright but bright enough. Good product.

So far they work as expected. From outside they look like my old plug in ones but no more cord hassles. Only hard thing is to turn them all on the same time so the timers are the same. Placed batteries in then slightly screwed on caps just before they turned on. At appropriate time I twisted them all on then placed in windows. Wish they had a switch but for the price I'll take it.
