They supply a tool and a clear set of printed instructions. I was able to take two links out in 5 minutes for a perfect fit on my Timex Ironman watch. Comfortable, though the band is a bit on the heavy side. When wearing it you press a little tab and it opens up.

I bought this band for my Citizen Eco watch to wear for interviews, and it looks sharp. It was my first time resizing a watchband with links, so I probably watched three or four youtube videos to learn the basics. I encountered no problems whatsoever after I figured out the strategy, everything you'll need is included except the hammer. I initially removed four links, and the watch was too tight so I replaced one. All in, the process probably required 60-90 minutes (but would be much less -- maybe 10-20 minutes -- if you were already comfortable with the link removal process).
I've only had it seven days or so, but for fifteen bucks, this product exceeds expectations.
