WORKED PERFECT. MY ONLY COMMENT WOULD BE FOR GETTING OUT THE OLD GAS LIFT CYLINDER. IF IT HAS BEEN IN CHAIR FOR A LONG TIME, WHEN YOU TRY TO POUND IT OUT, AFTER APPLYING LIBERAL AMOUNTS OF WD-40 AND LETTING IT SIT OVER NIGHT, POUND WITH A BIG HAMMER ON FIRST ONE SIDE AND THEN THE OTHER SIDE TO ROCK IT LOOSE INSTEAD OF JUST HITTING IT IN THE MIDDLE.

Great quality! The Installation instructions are on youtube. Useful trick: before trying to pull the legs and seat mechanism off of the cylinder, spray WD-40 or other penetrating oil on the downward cylinder mounting sleeve and let it work into the sleeve for about an hour. Set aside 2 hours because you will need to repeat the same on the cylinder's other end mounting sleeve. (the oil runs down hill :-)

Like others have said removing the old cylinder was a nightmare. Despite using a 7lb hammer, vice and some effort, the old cylinder would not budge from the base. In the end I had to use hacksaw to cut off the end of the casing and the using a Dremel and cutting disc to cut inside the casing. What this did was provide some movement in the metal when I resumed with the hammer.
My advice would be to try and remove the old cylinder before you order a new one. This job is not anyone who doesn't have the tools or inclination for what for me was an arduous task.
Nevertheless it was simple to put back together and is working well.
