great product. much easier than carrying my ipad all over the job site without it. Seems a little pricey for what it is and that is the only reason its 4 and not 5 stars. Its by far the best handle out there.
Highly recommend for field use

I take extensive phenotypimg field notes and this has been a great way to securely hold my SurfacePro 3. I like that the hand strap rotates which is much more comfortable than the fixed position that Otterbox uses on their field strap. It doesn't feel flimsy and holds the tablet firmly
How does it work?
Amazon Customer•August 9, 2016
Because nobody quite explained how it works, they've only said it's held by a spring, let me explain. There's a spring attached to the metal rods at both ends of the device. One of the ends extends about 3 inches while the other extends only 1. When you pull on them they slide and when you release they retract. It's a great little tool and I highly suggest it.
GREAT PRODUCT!

I am quite pleased with this product. I purchased it for my iPad Pro. My main worry was if it would fit my iPad Pro with my otter box protective case since no one posted anything. I am happy to report that it fits great and has not let go of my ipad. My only concern and the reason why I have not given this product 5 stars is that as you rotate your iPad to the orientation needed there are plastic shavings from the wear on the metal to plastic. It doesn't seem to be a issue AT THIS TIME where I need to fear it disconnecting from the hand strap.
Great for potrait reading
Amazon Customer•April 15, 2016
I use this for my Surface Pro 4. My initial plan was to use the handheld holder for reading on the bed, but i found myself used the pop-out stand more often, to position the SF4 into portrait position for natural reading experience (as if I am reading A4 document).
I also like to type at portrait position and the stand is useful. Unfortunately the type cover doesn't work wireless and I have to use Microsoft universal foldable keyboard.
I would like to suggest future version of Gripzilla in smaller swivel and the pop-out stand has an adjustable stand that can be pulled out to have better angle during portrait position.
