These spoons works great when we are eating soup, specifically Pho. I do like the indentation that allows the spoon to hang on the edge of the bowl, however with slight movement, the spoon does move easily. One thing I hate is when my spoon falls into a bowl of soup and these have done so several times. Also, you may be able to find these at a local Asian Market for cheaper, I have but it was after I made the purchased on here.

I've kept my porcelain ones for so long because, unlike traditional spoons, I can pick up noodles, vegetables, and various bits without it all toppling out. But having to hold the handle constantly lest I lose the spoon in the soup was getting old. Enter these, and now my soup experience is about as perfect as it can get.

There is one small thing to note though: melamine. I'm not much of a fear mongerer when it comes to chemicals (heck, I'm a smoker so I obviously can't care too much): but I did make the mistake of googling melamine and felt a little put off. Basically, don't put these in the microwave and all should be ok. In this way though I do wish the manufacturer had opted for porcelain or ceramic.

These spoons are great and made of thick solid plastic. I have never owned Melamine items, so I was worried the quality might be, not so great. But these are beautiful! And there are several items that match the color on Amazon for a full Japanese set at a cheap price. The spoons are long enough that I have 32 oz melamine bowls and they don't fall in. Even bigger or deeper ramen bowls would make the spoon hook to the side, staying clean for use in your soup thanks to the handy design. They also work as chopstick holders, which is great since I have stainless steal circular ones that roll easily.

I don't know why but when I use these spoons I never drip good down my top. The spoons never get lost in the bowl, and they clean up with a breeze. I don't know why I didn't get them years ago.

Was in search of nice sized soup spoons and these are just what I was searching for. I love soups and prefer eating with spoons made for soup. I have used similar ones in Asian restaurants, so was pleased to find these. It has made the eating experience more pleasurable, since the soup does not spill out over the sides. I also love the color -- red inside; black outside. I highly recommend.
