Very easy to engage and disengage
Luca Brasi✓ Verified Purchase•May 19, 2018
It's not going to stop everything - nor would I use just this for long term storage (with a lock shackle would be fine), but to run into a store, this is small enough to carry and secure enough that it makes it difficult for the thief. Very easy to engage and disengage. You will never forget it's on as soon as you put your hands on the bars.
Awesome alternative to rotor locks
Todd Fulkerson✓ Verified Purchase•May 17, 2018
I own a motorcycle with large rotors and not enough clearance to use a rotor pin style lock. This is a great alternative. Feels decently solid. Easy to use. Decent key and cylinder. Not top of the line key and cylinder, enough to prevent picking. Not a replacement for chain and anchor, but a great secondary piece of visible security to let any thief know your motorcycle is no easy prize. And since they are almost always opportunists, the thief will move on.
This does not fit a Honda Goldwing GL1800 with Kuryakyn ISO grips

This does not fit a Honda Goldwing GL1800 with Kuryakyn ISO grips. I read an earlier review that said it fit a Goldwing but they must have the stock grips. This item is well made and I wish it worked but it wasn't even close to fitting. I have given the low rating because the description is not clear enough on what it will fit and what it won't fit and I had to pay the expense of the return shipping to find this out. So this item is a buyer beware and if it doesn't fit it will cost you.

This post is long overdue. I use this to lock up my scooter for quick store stops. Its well made and I have had no problems with it. Just knowing it's on my bike lets me feels it's secure and safe.
So simple to put on that I always put it on

I keep this in a Kriega kube pocket that is strapped to my messenger bag strap. I can take it out and install it in under 20 seconds.I like the fact that I can position the part for the lever so that it's close to the handlebar (for brake levers) or far from the handlebar (for clutch levers).
I use it on the brake-side so it's like a car's parking brake (the clutch holds the rear wheel in place, and this product engages the front brake so that the front wheel is held in place). This gives me peace of mind so that it's more difficult to move my bike around, plus if I happen to leave the motorcycle in neutral by accident, the front brake will hold the bike in place.
