No matter what anyone else says about getting these on, don't believe it. These will only fit youth size bats, and that's if your lucky. The inner diameter is 0.75" and the maximum stretch is 1.5" oval which I measured with a caliper. Any adult sized bat will have a minimum 2" diameter at the knob. It will NOT go over the knob, and there is no such lube that can change the actual physical characteristics of this item. I bought 6 of them and can not use any. Actually I used one on a speed stick. It was good for that. The dimensions should be posted, along with the maximum stretch capability.

I have been using grip and rips for years on all my softball bats. They really help with holding the end of the bat. They also help with my hand not getting sore from swinging away so much. Though to install as to be expected and you can remove them and put on another bat.

I had no problems installing this on my bat. I put two fingers in it and pulled it apart and then used my palm to push it over the knob. It rolled up a little bit as I pushed it up the handle but then I just pulled it back around the top and it popped into place. Super easy install, no string, rope, soap, oil, spit, grease, whatever was needed.
