Never dissapointed with these lava lamps. I dropped the bulb and broke the inside so I ran to my local Ace Hardware and but a new bulb for like 3$ it works great. It completes the room and the purple metal one with reddish yellow orange lava and purple glass tint is the best one/ color

My sons lava lamp was a gift for x-mas and today it still works great! Hmm I think for this one I did switch out the bulb bc the glass was sitting on the bulb itself and not on the metal ring. It was not sitting flat but moving and sliding around ontop of the glass light bulb which to me was alarming. I found another bulb just like it and it seemed to screw in much better. Even with my tiny hands it was kind of hard to screw in tight so the glass pieces would not touch. It was just the bulb but the lamp itself is great! Hope this helps.
