I love this mat. Perfect size, not hard at all. Will lay on the floor and not slide, either on carpet or hard floor. If my dog steps on the lip of the mat it will not hurt her paws.

I'm sending this mat back. The silicone is way too flimsy to pick up without water spilling all over the floor, even if you use 2 hands and very, very slowly lift it. This might be fine for only food spills but my dog devours his food & just leaves water everywhere so I need a sturdier mat that holds its shape when I lift it off of the floor to dump the excess water into the sink. The search continues . . .

This mat is so cute! It's large enough, like I wanted. It has a lip around the edge to keep any spills contained. It also looks great with the red bowls I purchased for my new puppy. My local water leaves marks on the mat, so that's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.
