I love my Tibetan Singing Bowl! By way of a back story, I had been given an Amazon gift card and had been thinking about what to acquire with it. I had seen singing bowls at the Musical Instrument Museum's (MIM's) gift shop here in Phoenix and they had always intrigued me. Like most people would probably do, I'd 'try them out' while at the museum and enjoy the beautiful tones that they would generate. Still, I'd not been particularly 'moved' to actually acquire one for myself. With this in mind, I was pleased to learn that singing bowls - such as this one - can be acquired through online purchase. Thus, I took a chance and purchased the one I am reviewing here. I am delighted to report that the bowl is exquisite in every way. It is beautifully crafted and produces a gorgeous sound. Indeed, it begins responding at the merest touch, almost as if it senses my presence and wants to immediately 'go to work.' As you can no doubt tell, I am very taken with it and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a musical instrument that is atypical in the Western musical tradition while at the same time proving aesthetically pleasing - both visually and aurally - in the elegance of its beguiling simplicity.

I purchased this lovely and elegant singing bowl for our autistic daughter who is fascinated by anything that makes sound. She mastered playing it almost immediately! It fits easily in her hand and produces pure tones that are very mesmerizing. She says it makes her want to focus--something positive for an autistic person. Or anyone, for that matter. You do not have to be involved in yoga or new age meditation to appreciate and use this singing bowl.

I am very pleased with my purchase. I just became 200hr yoga instructor so I am looking for items to incorporate into my classes. I was fortunate to have found this on a lightning deal. The bowl is small but don't be fooled, it makes wonderful soothing sounds. It takes a bit of mastery and a steady gentle hand to persuade the bowl to sing. It sounds pretty cool too. Tapping the bowl make a wonderful peaceful meditative sound. The bowl itself is very attractive well made and very good quality. The Price is GREAT! Namaste!

I love this singing bowl! It is high quality, authentic and beautiful. It arrived in perfect condition. Silent Mind has excellent customer service and follows through to make sure you are completely satisfied. They provide a link to instructions on how to use the bowl and how to take care of it and clean it. They also have an e-book for information on meditation. A friend told me about singing bowls and I had no experience with one, but within a couple of days with practice and patience I am now able to create the singing tone whenever I want to. It has such a beautiful tone and really helps me focus my scattered mind. It has helped me to feel less anxious, more calm and peaceful and also helped with my insomnia! I truly love it and wish I had known about them before. I looked at many bowls, some were cheaper, but chose this one because of the good reviews on the bowl and on the seller. I also loved the authentic, antique look. I am completely happy with my singing bowl and plan to order more for family members. Silent Mind also has the best customer service I've ever experienced.
