I'm a sensitive guy, and I'm glad that I bought this sensitive pinpointer! Having only used bullseyes before, I can tell you that this is quite nice when inspecting the plug hole of the dig. I'm able to determine which side of the hole the object is on because the beep increases in frequency to become a solid tone when you are in contact or almost contacting the metal object. No dials, no need. push on, start detecting.
Good battery life too!
One thing that I wish would be that the rivet in the holster would be made of composites instead of metal - I'd like to just leave the detector on, holster it when I don't need it, and bring it back out. Right now I have to turn it off each time. Whining? Maybe. It's not really a big thing tho.

I have the PP2 and a Whites TRX. There is nothing wrong with the TRX, however, I like the simplicity and rake sensitivity with the PP2. Does everything I need with a simple press of the on/off button. The TRX has more fine tuning features and options up to the ability to replace the exterior case. If you are looking for something that gets the job done without a lot of fidley options, the PP2 is your machine. Gave the wife the TRX.

Great Product! Sure beats my old Harbor Freight pinpointer. I bought this because I felt it would make me more effective while using my sub par metal detector, and I was right. Gives me more confidence to get out there and search. Buy one!
