Jaco vs. Joes
dubstermacJanuary 24, 2018
I have the Jaco and the Joes Racing pressure gauges both with the dial reading and both 0-60 psi. Both delivered the same reading of 33 psi on a random tire test so you can't go wrong with either as far as accuracy is concerned. The Joes hose and fitting length is roughly 19" where the Jaco is
15". The dial on the Jaco is slightly smaller, but both are easy to read. Both appear to be well made reliable gauges. The Jaco has 3 distinct advantages in my opinion. It's about $6 less money, it has swivel fittings on both the dial end and the chuck end of the hose, and it will hold the pressure reading until you release it by pressing the air release button. If I purchased another at this point I would buy another Jaco if for nothing else the fact that you can swivel both the chuck and the gauge independently.
No battery to die while it's in my car emergency kit.
D HillDecember 14, 2017
Feels really well built. I put it with my cars emergency kit.. I thought I had a pressure gauge in in there before but remembered I had a battery operated one and the battery was dead. I was left to keep driving with a low tire indicator on until I could find a pump with a built in gauge. I went with this one because there is no battery to die.
Update: the release button is an awesome touch. Had my tires swapped out for winter tires. In the morning my TPS light flashed on then off. I checked the pressure and the tire place had over filled my tires by 7 psi (I checked with another tire gauge just to make sure this new gauge was reading correctly) I pressed the release button until the pressure was correct for all four tire.
this unit is excellent, very well put together and the valve swivels ...
Jorge RamosDecember 2, 2017
The unit does not come with a certification or calibration* document (which is usual with all gauges in this price range). Other than that, this unit is excellent, very well put together and the valve swivels for easy access to the stem.

*Maybe someone can comment on this as I am not a metrology expert but maybe all mechanical pressure gauges need to be recalibrated from time to time so having an initial calibration is unnecesary as a recalibration would probably cost more than the unitary price of this gauge... does anyone know about this? Also, I don't know if this unit can be recalibrated, but I can say that behind the gauge there are 2 philips screws, what are they for? I do not know.
Accurate, same head as in Drive Auto gauge, see comparison
t.reviewsFebruary 17, 2017
I have three gauges, one old Joes Racing 0-60, and two new - from Drive Auto Products, and from Jaco Superior Products.
All three were purchased on Amazon.
All three agree on measurements , with differences within 1 PSI when checking tire pressure around 30-40 PSI.
All have bleeder valve.

DRIVE and Jaco devices are obviously identical (see photos) except the chucks and company logos. Jaco has swivel ball chuck, and Drive has angle chuck.

Jaco and Drive are made in China, while Joes Racing made in USA.

DRIVE pluses: it comes with convenient case, which protects the device. I usually get less air leak using its angle chuck, comparing to Jaco's. Measurement holds after disconnecting. Least expensive among these three. Hose swivels only at one end, at the head.

Jaco's pluses: hose swivels at both ends, measurement holds after disconnecting. Do not like ball chuck. Do not like that company uses names "elitpro" and "superior".

Joes Racing pluses - bigger and easier to read dial, very convenient and easy to hold swivel angle chuck, the quality of product seems the best. It survived several years of usage well. Hose swivels at one end. Unfortunately, it does not hold the measurement after disconnecting from a tire.
Superb, versatile, heavy duty tire gauge ~ Best company that I've EVER done business with ~ 5 BIG stars!
Expressed ReviewsNovember 11, 2016
If ever a company deserved to have a book written about their superb customer service, it would be JACO. In a word, it's phenomenal.

I purchase virtually everything I own on Amazon, or other online sites. I've been doing so on Amazon since 1996, and elsewhere for at least the past 15 years. I can honestly say that JACO Superior Products is the best company that I've EVER dealt with. For me to make a statement like that, means a lot, a whole lot.

Having received my initial JACO ElitePro Tire Gauge, I was extremely eager to try it out. After using it on just one tire, it failed to retain the PSI reading after removing it from the tire valve. Naturally, I was upset. I wrote a review, expressing my displeasure at the fact that the gauge failed to work after just one use. Shortly afterwards, I was contacted by Nolan Jacoby, the founder and CEO of the company. He expressed his sincere apologies, and offered to replace the gauge with a new one. Although I was grateful, I told him that since I had already replaced it with another one from a different company, I would be giving the replacement away.

Having said that to Mr. Jacoby, I never expected to hear from him again. To my surprise, I heard back, with the words "No problem. We appreciate you giving us a try! Regards, Nolan Jacoby." I was simply blown away that the CEO of a company would take the time to send me a note of appreciation, even though I was going to give the replacement product away.

Today, just 2 days after being told that a replacement was on its way, I received it in the mail. Since Mr. Jacoby had been so nice to me, I figured that the least I could do was to try out the new gauge, rather than giving it away.

To my delight, the replacement gauge works perfectly. Unlike the first one, it retains the PSI after removing it from the tires. As a matter of fact, it retains the PSI indefinitely, until I press the bleed valve button. In all other respects, it's a truly fantastic product. I'm keeping it, and returning the other one that I bought.

You can read all of the other positive reviews about this tire gauge. I could go on and on saying how good it is, and it truly is the best one that I've ever owned. But in the end, as good as the tire gauge is, at least the second time around, it's not the gauge that matters here. It's the manner in which this company is run. This is a company that does everything right; they truly care about the customer. Other companies should take notice. When you show honest concern for your customers, than you're doing what it takes to earn their trust. The way I was treated by JACO speaks volumes about this company. They obviously work very hard for their success, and they deserve your business.

The bottom line is that this is a great tire gauge. Even greater, however, is the fact that this company cares about their customers, and does whatever it takes to make them 100% happy. JACO Superior Products is a company that I would classify as the best of the best. They are a class act.
