Scandisk is the best and never has let me down, other brands are sometimes cheaper but usually slower too
Good card and USB reader, but be aware, the card is a Class 4.

Good card and good USB reader. Both worked fine. The Micro SD card is a Class 4 card. I felt a little misled in that the speed was not actually mentioned in the product information online, and I guess I mistakenly mistook the "UHS-1" designation to mean "U1", but they are quite different meanings. This is not a U1 card, but a Class 4 card, which is printed on the card that I received, though not in the product photo online at Amazon. In any case the write speed was good. I got consistently around 7 MB/s sustained writing speed over several minutes of writing. I tried a Class 10 card (purchased separately) in the USB stick and the stick handled delivering about 12 MB/s with the Class 10 card.
IT DIDNT READ BUT THAT HAPPNES JUST ORDERED TWO MORE NEW ONES

The card reader is a nice bonus. A handy thing to have these days. It worked immediately under Windows 7. No installations or set-up required.
The card reader is only USB 2.0 with a maximum of 60Megabytes/second, though one never sees that speed for real. Newer SD cards can go as high as 624MB/s. A UHS-1 (aka HC1) memory card can do 12.5 to 104MB/sec depending on the bus speed. Helpfully specific, no? Here are the speeds I got with this card and reader:
USB 2.0 port:
8 Megabytes/sec writing
26 Megabytes/sec reading
USB 3.0 port:
8 Megabytes/sec writing
23 Megabytes/sec reading
My USB 3.0 flash drive does 175 writing and 215 reading on this port, so the bottleneck is either this card or this reader or both.
The card comes formatted FAT32. To store files larger than 4gb you'll need to format it to NTFS or other file system. There's a middle-sized SD card size: miniSD which this reader can't read, though they seem to be pretty rare. Finally, the card and reader come in a little zip-lock bag, no retail packaging nor instructions.
