Rusty vent cover

The hood is beautiful. And very quiet. The issue is that the duct cover is rusting. It rusted the first time we made pasta and used the vent. We wiped it down and rust was removed but came back a week later.

Use caution when buying from Proline, their business practices are questionable and the hoods are so-so quality. This is a Chinese product and you get what you pay for. The hood I purchased sat in it's box for a month before taking a closer look at it. The width of the hood is 5/8" narrower than specified and does not line up well with the range. Proline claims this is the way hood are...that is not true. At a minimum, they should indicate the true width of the hood in their specifications.
I requested to return and they refused due to it being 2 weeks past the 30 day return policy.

This is a superior hood to any I have seen. My commercial hood I used in my catering facility was not as efficient as this is. The filters pop out easily and go into the dishwasher. And the price was excellent compared with hoods available at appliance stores. I have 9 ft. ceilings and the extension provided was quite adequate to complete the installation. Also, the light bulb replacements are available from the company. Awesome product and terrific installation manual. The four speeds also provide great flexibility.

Its well made. The motor is very powerful . The baffle filters are cheaply made, the edges are very sharp can cut your hand and it has no oil collecting pan. It also did not come with any maintenance and cleaning instructions. The LED light light is not very bright..
