This is a great supplement to anti-anxiety meds

This is a great supplement to anti-anxiety meds. It's helped me sleep better and wake up less anxious. I didn't expect to see much of a difference and was pleasantly surprised.

Did not help me sleep - still woke up at 2am but groggy and feeling sick
Would be good for very mild sleep problems.

My daughter and I tried Moderex Gaba: Natural Sleeping Pills, Supplements for Anxiety and Insomnia last night. We both have always had sleep issues and she, being a teenager, also has anxiety/depression issues.
I took 1 capsule 30 minutes before bed as directed. I wasn't sure how fast it would work. I do take Melatonin on occasion which makes me fall asleep fast but I don't stay asleep. Usually wake up at least 3-4 times that I'm aware of.
I popped in a movie to watch and relaxed. I didn't feel sleepy within 30 minutes but I did feel relaxed. I watched the entire movie which lasted about 2 hours. At the end, I still wasn't "sleepy" but felt like I was relaxed enough to fall asleep. And I did. Easily. And I did stay asleep for the entire night which was wonderful! I didn't even hear my husband's (3) 5:30 am alarms!
This morning,I woke up feeling rested and refreshed instead of sluggish and dragging butt. I didn't feel any lingering drowsiness like happens when using other sleep aids to stay asleep all night. I also don't feel the slightest bit anxious or stressed and I wasn't having any mad cravings for caffeine to wake up. I did sleep in about an hour longer than I usually do.
My daughter took a dose the same time I did. She's 16. She stayed up until well after midnight which is normal for her. She doesn't do mornings but I went ahead and woke her up anyway to see how she felt. She said she didn't notice anything different. She said she still had trouble falling asleep and staying asleep but I think she slept better and doesn't realize it as when I went to wake her up, she got right up and usually I have to drag her out of bed!
I think this would be a good product for people who have occasional insomnia and mild anxiety. For those with more severe cases, who are used to taking a variety of sleep aids, I'm not sure this is for you. We are going to continue using it for the next week or so to see if it gets better over time. But really, I think for the two of us, we've battled insomnia for so long that our bodies are really adapted to taking sleep supplements and we require more than the average person.
Tonight my daughter will take it with the addition of some Melatonin and skip the Benadryl again. And we'll see if she falls asleep faster and stays asleep. As for me, I will just take the Moderex Gaba by itself again.
