Good tank, shotty compressor

Takes a little while to build air pressure. Tank is good quality. Built in check valve didn't work 100%, but that is not that big a deal breaker for me. I had one that I added in and didn't have any problems.
However the compressor failed(rather spectacularly) after the third use (pics included) will return and get another(because price isn't bad) and see if I just got a bad one.
-Update- Amazon handled return quickly, ordered another of the same. Tank and all fittings were the same as before. BUT, the compressor threw its rod again after the second day. Double checked my system for air leaks, on the chance that the compressor ran for extended periods or had to keep coming on. System held air with only 5 psi loss over 24 hours (could be better, but to me that level is acceptable). Returned this latest one and will not order again. Conclusion is that the compressor priced very nice, if it worked. Would buy their tanks again if I needed one.

The pump and tank work well however the pump gets pretty hot and the fuse and its wires get smoking hot. If you purchase this, upgrade the fuse and holder and use a HD relay set up with thicker guage wires.
The instructions advise you to mount the pump near the front grille of the car for increased airflow. I see why. If the pump is cycling on and off it needs to be cooled

tank welds are very very very poorly done. no "tested to rating" or true potential rating stamped on tank either. sending mine back and biting the bullet on an american made compressor that is tested and approved for what it "claims" to achieve.
