These sturdy locks might be a little heavy for some, but they do the job very well, coming in a number of colors for easy identification. Not only that but the numbers are easier to see than many other locks, which makes them a big plus for me. Changing the combinations is explained best on-line, and I recommend that because many folks probably leave them at 0-0-0, which doesn't secure your luggage much. I bought two packs for a total of four locks, and I might buy more for other luggage. I give them a five even though some folks might not like their weight. The quality, I believe, out weighs that feature.

The photo on these make it look like the numbers are in black but they are NOT!!! It's all silver and VERY difficult to read, especially if your eyesight is beyond 40 years old. I need to get out a flashlight and try to hold that steady on the numbers, bent over my luggage, and angling the light so the glare doesn't make the numbers too shiny to see. I do not usually write a bad review but I've struggled with this on two trips and I just got online now to order different ones.

I only used this for one trip and the locks worked great! I was super nervous flying to CO and having to check in my snowboarding gear. I love that the locks have a pop up to tell you if TSA opens your bag and they most certainly did. TSA also put a note in my bag saying they opened it, but I knew from the red indicator pop up.

These locks were ideal for a recent trip. I was able to use four or five times until one would not open. We hadn't reset the code and had no prior issue opening, so didn't anticipate this happening. We weren't able to unlock, so had to cut the zip on the suitcase. As it needed replacing, it wasn't a huge loss, but am glad it hadn't happened on the other. Before this issue, I was very pleased with the quality and was able to tell the lock had been inspected. Not sure if TSA opening had anything to do with not being able to open, but probably won't use the other to be on the safe side. Based on the other positive reviews, I may have just received a dud lock.
Locks jam and do not open- do not buy these locks.

These locks looked nice but they are appalling terrible. Please, buy other locks. We were in London no our honeymoon and the lock quit working while it was attached to our luggage. We had to break the zipper on our brand new luggage because this lock quit working. When it arrives, it gives you instructions to set the combination. We set both of ours to the same combination. We tested them about five times and then attached them to our luggage. We opened them once in London and it opened fine. The second time we tried to open them, one would no longer open. I cannot accurately describe the frustration of not being able to get into your luggage overseas because the lock no longer works. There are many more locks out there available for purchase, make sure to pick one of those, not this brand or lock.
