Does indeed work like a hammock, supports my 230 lbs no problem. The kids love it even more.
However-on a JKU (4 door) it does not reach the windshield, so you have a gap that lets the sun in.
Also, as tight as i can make it, it still snaps against the cross beam. I put a bungee cord around the beam and that stops the 'snapping' from the wind. Overall, I really like it.

Ive had the Jammock 2.0 for over a month now. It does everything you could expect for a hammock mounted over the front seats. However, the price is high considering it does not do as well with the other uses that are promoted.
I dont recommend buying this if you plan on leaving it mounted all day, at least not if you own a JK. You can get it tight enough to leave on and drive when the weather is warm. Its also nice for providing a little shade but keeping the open air feel in that situation. However, it will flap a lot when you start going over 40mph and develops other issues when the weather is consistently warm.
The real issue is how it performs when the temperature varies. No matter how tightly the straps are pulled the material will sag in the middle when the temperature cools. I expected the opposite originally since soft tops losen in the heat. Regardless, the top will touch your head when this happens if the tops off or in the sunrider position. If you try to drive like this, youll get smacked on the head as you go.
Ultimately, its good for a hammock you can install when not driving or when you put the top up whenever you drive. Just dont expect much more from the product until 3.0 or later.

They are expensive but my lady and I love the Jammock! You can get see it well in the photo but we are in the jammock with a blanket over us. The radio was on and we watched the sunset!
